Summer brought another season of change for the future home of UCA at 700 E. 170th Street. We'd love to tell you about every new duct and drywall, but we'll settle for a bullet point summary instead:
We celebrated our second graduating class as they received their diplomas in the church portion of the property in June.
A group from Resurrection Church in Leawood, Kansas came and helped tear out old walls and flooring, and did some landscaping work.
Our first vision event was held outside the new building in June. The event was a big success!
New lockers were delivered to the location in August.
New lights have been installed in the current gym, which will eventually be the multi-purpose room.
Final selections are being made on flooring, furniture, and other aspects of the new building.
As fundraising continues, our goal is to have students begin learning in the new space on January 8, 2024.
