The first day of school is right around the corner! As we all anticipate coming back to school in August, please take note of the following information:
mandatory Parent Orientation
When? Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 6:30 P.M. until 8:30 P.M.
Who? Parents/Guardians Only! This is an evening for the adults to attend.
Where? We will begin the evening in the UCA Gym.
Parent orientation is mandatory for all families, and a $100 fee will be added to tuition for families who do not attend. Our parent orientation night is a crucial part of launching into a new school year successfully, and the information shared at this event ensures that our community is on the same page about UCA’s priorities and policies. The choice to assess a fee for those not in attendance this year stems from a lack of attendance at orientations in past years, and we hope that all families see the value of stepping into this new school year together in this way.
Families who have already made plans on August 8 must contact Director of Admissions & Parent Engagement Amy Veldboom (aveldboom@weareuca.org) to ensure they receive orientation information and determine next steps.

New Parent dinner
New parents are invited to a dinner at UCA before parent orientation on August 8. The dinner begins at 5:30 in the UCA Gym.

August 13–14: New Student Launch — These two days will prepare freshmen and new students for high school at UCA. More information will follow.
August 15: First day of school!

Girls Volleyball Work-outs and Try-outs
Girls Volleyball Work-outs will take place on August 6, 7, and 8 from 9am-11:30am for girls interested in trying out for volleyball. The optional work-outs will help prepare athletes for their try-outs, and will be held in the UCA gym.
Volleyball Try-outs will be held on August 12 and 13 in the UCA gym, starting at 3pm (after New Student Launch on the 13th)
