Decision Day | May 1, 11:00-11:50 AM
National College Decision Day, also known as College Signing Day, is the first day of May each year. On this day, high school seniors who applied and were accepted into one or more colleges must confirm their enrollment with the school of their choice. At UCA, we know and believe that God has called us individually to do various things, so therefore, regardless if a senior plans to attend college, enlist in the military, go to trade school, or begin working — we celebrate everyone. So on May 1, 2024, we will be celebrating our Seniors' Post-Secondary Pathways!
The event will take place in the Chapel of UCA’s campus. Following the event, we will have a small reception that will include light refreshments and live gospel music. Please RVSP here if you would like to attend.

UCA Community, let's elevate our LOVE and THANKS for our distinguished, diverse, and dynamic teachers, staff, and coaches!
4-5 adult volunteers are needed to monitor the lunch room so our teachers/faculty may gather together in community and enjoy their lunch in the faculty lounge. Monday - Friday for 45 minutes during lunch hours. Volunteers email aveldbloom@weareuca.org.

Prom: A Night in Hollywood! | May 10, 2024
Prom tickets on sale this week only until Thursday, May 2. Tickets can be purchased before school, during lunch, or after school in the front office. Tickets are $80.00. Guest forms are available.
Re-enrollment
If you have not paid your re-enrollment fee for next year, please do so soon. The payment goes up $50.00 in May.

During Student Choice Lunch, 9th-11th graders will register for next year's classes. You can refer to next year’s Academic Catalogue to see what courses students will be choosing from.

Preparing for the end of year:
We have FIVE more weeks until summer break — FOUR more weeks of instruction, and ONE week of Final Assessments! As your student prepares for the end of year, please keep the following in mind:
Proficiency Requirements to Receive Credit
UCA seeks to ensure students move to the next level having mastered the necessary content and skills they need to succeed at that level. To earn credit for a course, a student must have an overall mastery level of Emerging - Level 2 or higher and have no No Evidence - 0s in an academic standard. The overall mastery level is calculated by averaging the individual class standards.
What do I do if my student isn’t meeting the requirements to pass class?
Review upcoming assessment directions with your student to make sure they are meeting all requirements.
Review upcoming assessment deadlines to make sure your student is on top of their work.
Review Office Hours schedules or request Office Hours with teachers to receive additional support.
Seniors graduation fees:
Graduation fees for cap and gown are past due. Please pay your fee of $75.00 this week in order for your son/daughter to get their cap and gown!
Lunch:
Lunch orders are back and running on our BOONLI website! Make sure to place your orders by Thursday at midnight for next week's choices! Meals will only be cold items until our kitchen is ready to go. Thanks for your flexibility.
