Week of April 10 Parent Newsletter

This Week:

  • Monday, April 10 - Monday, April 17 | A-Term

    • A-Term is this week! You may click here to review again the document that was emailed to you by Mrs. Bootsma before Spring Break. Please note the default schedule for A-Term is 9:30-2:30 every day.

    • A-Term is a required part of UCA’s academic program. In order to graduate, students are required to take one A-Term course each year they attend UCA. To earn credit, students may not miss more than two days of their A-Term class and must participate in all of the class’ activities. If students fail to participate or miss more than two days of class, they must submit a research paper to Mrs. Bootsma that answers the following question: What should quality, Christian high school education look like? The research paper must meet these requirements:

      • Paper must include a thesis statement

      • Credible and relevant evidence from a minimum of 2 sources

      • MLA formatting (Times New Roman, 12-point font, double spaced)

      • 4 pages in length

      • Works cited page

  • Wednesday, April 12 | PSAT/SAT Testing

    • This Wednesday 4/12, all 9th and 10th graders will take the PSAT on campus, while all 11th graders will take the SAT on campus. Note: this testing date falls in the middle of A-Term. A-Term classes will not meet this day, there will only be testing. The hours for testing day will still be 9:30-2:30. If you have any questions about testing, please email Mr. Howell, College & Career Counselor at thowell@weareuca.org.

    • Seniors (12th graders) do not need to report to campus this day.

Tuition and Re-enrollment:

  • Click here to review again UCA’s 2023-2024 Tuition Model.

  • Applications for tuition assistance are due on the 10th of every month.

  • While UCA's 2023-2024 budget will include a significant investment in tuition assistance, there will be a limit. It is not guaranteed that families will receive tuition assistance. Applying sooner will make it more likely that tuition assistance is available.

  • Use this form to submit any questions you have about UCA tuition.
