Growing Unity: Our journey to now, and our steps into the future

It was an act of faith to start Unity Christian Academy in 2018.

Making a financial commitment to our families meant relying on a financial commitment from our supporters. Our means-based tuition means a UCA education is available to families of all economic brackets, but it also means the year-to-year expenses of running our school relies more heavily on generous hearts than tuition dollars.

It’s through those generous hearts that God has answered our prayers to launch and begin to grow a Christian high school in South Holland. In 2021, donors like you gave $933,928; in 2022, they gave $991,711. Last year, they gave $1,343,040, and this year our progress to date is $977,646.

Thank you.

We’ve seen these dollars used as an instrument in God’s hand as he continues to write complex, beautiful stories here in our school.

UCA leadership has established four development phases. As you’ll see in the chart below, we’re currently in phase three: Equipping Students for Excellence.

To complete Phase 3 will require $4.5 million in total funding. Of that overall goal, our benchmark for this year is $1.9 million, and thanks to  your generosity, we’re over halfway there!

If we meet our goal this year, our immediate priorities are creating a second floor science lab and expanding the use and capability of our school kitchen.

Thank you for seeing and participating in the vision of Unity Christian Academy. And whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or you just recently caught our vision, we hope you’ll join us as our mission takes its next steps forward.
