Growing Unity: Gratefully looking upward
On March 11, 2021, the Unity Christian Academy Board of Directors unanimously voted to put a bid on the Holy Ghost Church & School property located at the corner of 170th and Cottage Grove in South Holland. It was clear that UCA was growing at a rate that would necessitate moving to a larger location. The Holy Ghost property was our clear choice for a permanent home.
Countless prayers and conversations later, with the financial support of our community, we had our first day of school in our new building on February 26, 2024. We praise God for his abundant gifts!
As we settle into our current space, our next goal is to bring our commitment to excellence, diversity, and flourishing to the next level — literally.
The renovated first floor our our new building is perfect to accommodate our current size. However, as interest in becoming a Phoenix continues to grow among students and families (as it has every year since we started in 2018), we will soon need to fully remodel the upper floor of our building.
